Clean the debris off your outdoor condenser units. Debris can pile up after a storm, and this can foul up the inner workings of your system.It could overheat and cause a disaster with your system to malfunction by overheating.

Your outdoor HVAC system could suffer when trees begin dropping their leaves. Make sure the unit’s fan grill is cleaned often during the leaves begin to fall. The fan needs to have an unobstructed path for air to enter the unit, and if debris is blocking this air flow, you will end up with many headaches with the unit.

Put outdoor units in places with shade.

Turn off outdoor condenser when it’s getting cold. This should turn it off to prevent damage if the temperature drops below 60ºF to avoid damage. This can keep it in good condition for many years.
